NATIONAL LEVEL DESIGNERS CONTEST

                            Mangalore Institute of Fashion Technology is the institute trying to encourage the Indian designers and brings out the hidden talents. The concept behind is to make more market for Indian dresses and costumes, which support the Indian trade and economy.

                            MIFT being a first institute offering degree in fashion, in South Asia, and engaging the students in different kinds of such programmes   like survey on fashion concept, organizing fashion shows, conducting designers contest in National level etc. Last year we conducted successfully the National Level Designers contest. More emphasis will be given on wearable Indian costumes. This year onwards it is decided to celebrate this programme in a big scale with the slogan of

THE FESTIVAL OF INDIAN DESIGNERES.

The programme as follows;

Zonal Level Selection at,

Mangalore Zone (Karnataka, Goa, Kerala Tamilnadu (South Zone), Hydrabad (Central Zone), Kolkatta (Eastern Zone), Delhi (North Zone).

We select 5 designs of professionals and 5 designs of students in each zone. Total 40    designs selected from all together will be kept for FINAL ROUND at BANGALORE.

 Out of this 40, 6 Prizes will be awarded as under:

             (For professionals).

  • 1st    Prize with   Rs,  15,000\=  Cash.
  • 2nd   Prize with   Rs,  10,000\=  Cash.
  • 3rd   Prize with   Rs,     5,000\=  Cash

                 (For Student).

  • 1st     Prize with   Rs    3,000\=   Cash.
  • 2nd    Prize with   Rs    2,000\=   Cash.
  • 3rd     Prize with   Rs    1,000\=   Cash 

 The schedule for the Zonal Level contest will be as follows.

  • At Mangalore    on   23-04-2002
  • At Hydrabhad   on   27-04-2002
  • At Kolkatta       on  May Second Week
  • At Delhi            on May Third Week

Final at Bangalore along with fashion show on

                     We are very happy to receive your students/Professional Designers in this competition, TheMangalore  zonal level program will be arranged the college campus.  The reception committee has been constituted in Bangalore under the leadership of Hon.Minister Sri R.V. Deshapande, alongwith Hon Minister Kashappanavar & other dignitaries, to conduct final round with colorful Fashion Show on June 1 st 2002.  And also your kind co-operation for the success of this programme
